Who's the music-making lady who broke a big time digital sales record? It's a shock because this gal is unexpected. Keep watching for the whole story.
Hey everyone! You've reached another episode of Clevver TV. I'm Dana Ward.
So along with the holidays comes presents which means new mp3 players and ultimately, that equals lots of digital song downloads. And because of this musical equation, a new record got set the last week of December… and it's not by artist that you'd expect. I mean, who do you think could break the female sales mark as set one year ago by Lady Gaga and her 'Just Dance' track? Reportedly selling more than 610-thousand singles, it's Kesha with 'Tik Tok.' It's a catchy song off of her debut album called 'Animal'. Some people are saying Kesha's vibe sounds like a cross between Katy Perry and Miley Cyrus. What do you think? Tweet us @clevvertv.
But bringing it back to the impressive sales for 'Tik Tok', very interestingly, this artist broke the overall record for ALL artists as set by Flo Rida's 'Right Round' and Kesha was an uncredited singer on that track. Wow, this girl has got some luck!
Thanks for tuning into the show. I'm Dana Ward at our Beverly Hills headquarters and we'll catch ya later – bye!
